Thankfulness after the Tornado

I am breathing a little sigh of relief tonight . . . tomorrow is Friday and I am thrilled.

The week has been long . . . and I am sure many in Central Illinois will agree. The tornadoes have been the subject on everyone's lips and it has all taken an emotional, stressful toll on many.

The electric crews have been ultra busy and have worked long and hard to restore service to as many as possible. We are so thankful for the many hours men and women sacrificed so families could have electricity and heat in their homes.

The families that have lost their homes are being surrounded by friends and family. Support for them has come from near and far. The outpouring of love and tenderness has been so amazing. Communities and neighborhoods have pulled together to help one another. Families are locating items in the rubble and items are being found miles and miles away from their homes.

This Thanksgiving will take on added meaning to the people of Central Illinois. There is so much to be Thankful for . . .
