We are thankful for our family, our business and our lives that God has blessed us with. However, like almost every other family and/or business owner in this world, we face mountains and valleys. This week has fallen into the "rough week" category for Randy and I. We have had so many things to take care of . . . each of us separately and a little bit together.
It has been four and a half months since our manufacturing plant suffered an explosion at the hand of a contractor. Since March 19, we have learned much . . . about our company, our staff, ourselves and others.
Our work load will not ease up in the near future. At present, we are up to our eyeballs in construction plans. Our new facility is coming into sight a little more each day. It is exciting to see progress . . . even if it is a bit slower than we would like. In the next week, we will be seeing footings going into place for the first building. In a few weeks, the first building will be delivered! It is amazing to see companies come together in this project. I can't wait to post pictures of progress . . . even though we have had much progress on the land, it really isn't exciting to look at dirt! I tease Randy that he is out playing in the dirt with his "tonka" toys. lol
Life in the office has been extremely busy for the staff and I. I think there has been more paper pass through the office in the past four months than there usually is in a year! We continue to compile information for our insurance company. Thankfully, they are good people to work with. We continue to work with OSHA ~ a tedious experience and not one we want to relive soon. The new facility will have many, many changes and those changes all need documented . . . a very big job. The government has new regulations and processes with deadlines over the next months and year which are very time consuming too. Plus we continue with our day to day business which has been remarkably strong.
Each and every day brings new challenges. Many times our brains become a bit overwhelmed as there is so much to be taken care of.
If I may ask, would you mind praying for grace, strength and wisdom as we continue down this road God has allowed us to travel? We certainly could not make it through each day without prayer and God's intervention in our lives.
