Shamie Naughtie . . . Emma was grumpy with Seeley Booth tonight. She literally chased him through the main floor all the time giving him the "What for" sternly. Seeley Booth wasn't taking any chances that Emma, our 20 lb Lhasa Apso could be just teasing him . . . he took off as quick as he could and retreated to his crate. Emma . . . well, she doesn't mess around with bones . . . they are serious business to her and Seeley got a little too close.
While Emma was chasing Seeley Booth our littlest Princess snagged BOTH bones . . .
I am VERY glad Friday night is here!
This week was a tough one . . .
we redecorated Randy's old office at work AND
moved our school to our main building.
Whew . . .
am I glad the bulk of that is over!
My body thinks I am crazy . . .
The Roller Coaster of Learning to Care for Aging Parents continues on. Just when I thought we managed to get through the week without an incident, I learned of the ALL DAY rage
Randy's Mom had been in.
I called Randy when I was on my way home and he caught me up on the horrific day he, his sister and our niece had gone through.
Apparently, one little sentence set off a chain of rage that lasted through the entire day.
Needless to say, much prayer is needed . . .
much hurt was inflicted . . .
accusations . . .
denial . . .
personal attacks . . .
The comment was made . . . she didn't sound like "Grandma", she was totally different person. Such rage.
Then, this evening just like a switch was flipped . . .
the rage was over and there was clear conversation through a telephone call . . . just like nothing ever happened.
The words cut deep today . . .
damage was inflicted savagely.
She won't remember the day . . .
sadly, her children and grandchild will.
The announcement has been made publicly . . .
now it is my turn . . .
Randy and I are going to be a Great Uncle and Great Aunt again in August, 2013. Melissa and Josh announced tonight baby #4 was on the way! Randy and I are thrilled for them and can't wait to see the newest addition to the family!
It has been roughly 12 1/2 years since Randy and I received our Foster care license . . . this past week we closed the book on this part of our lives and signed the surrender of our license.
We had been thinking and praying about keeping it open for months and months now . . . although it was an extremely hard decision, we have peace it was the right decision for us at this time.
We are thankful for the many faces, those who helped us along the way and for the beautiful children that God added to our home!
I am also thankful for the grace, peace and mercy God provided along the way.
Kirk Cameron posted this today:
Seven things to pray for your children.
Please continue to pray for the Leuthold children . . .
their Mom was fatally shot on February 14, 2013 and this past week their Dad was arrested for the murder.
Please pray for their families as they endure what has happened and to have peace and grace to endure what is to come.
