This morning began with a devastating house fire in our city that claimed the lives of husband age 79, and wife age 75.

The news stopped me . . . the devastation of the loss of life . . . loss of family.

Life is so unpredictable. The past month has been a bit topsy turvy and the reality of life has become a daily reminder of our mortality. Our family is learning how to assist parents as age is changing them. I really never realized how hard and emotionally draining this would be.

I am thankful. Thankful that we are able to help our parents through the aging process. I am thankful for prayer, strength and support.

My friends, Cherish your family . . . Cherish your parents, spouse, siblings, children. Thank God for them each and every day. Pray for strength and direction when life becomes hard. God will be there . . . He will lead the way.

God Bless

Yes mam you are so right. You never know what will come your way. Life can be so hard but God is always there. Thinking of you and Randy as you start this journey of taking care of your parents. Love you sweet friend!
