I have pictures from early this afternoon until about a half an hour ago . . .
As you can see, just a few hours into the Blizzard, the snow is already almost touching Kamie's tummy.
From our back deck looking toward the lake.
about six hours into the storm . . .
Look at the left pier on the patio . . . you can see how deep the snow is at this point.
Out our side door of the kitchen.
One of the upper windows in our piano room . . . the snow is even mounting there.
another peek outside
Looking toward the neighbor's house.
Looking out my kitchen window toward the lake. It is almost 5 p.m. and the snow is falling hard, the wind is gusting heavily . . . the boys thought it was thunder.
The cancellations in the area are crazy! The list goes on and on and on.
The airport has cancelled all incoming and out going flights.
The hospitals have cancelled all out patient services.
Emergency services have been set into action.
Stay at HOME and INSIDE and OFF of the streets . . . that is what people are being instructed to do.
Illinois Governor Quinn has issued a Disaster Declaration. The Illinois State of Emergency Operations has been activated in Springfield, Illinois.
Needless to say, we aren't going anywhere!
We are staying in, watching movies and enjoying one another . . .
for as long as it takes!
Everyone Stay SAFE, WARM and out of the elements!
